Are you a 2027 graduate? VHB’s Providence, RI office is seeking an entry-level Transportation Engineer to join the team.
Responsibilities
- Work within a team of professionals in developing transportation design and solutions for a multitude of transportation and highway-related projects
- Highway design
- Traffic Design and Analysis
- Drainage design
- Traffic control development
- Preliminary and final design plans
- Contract documents, including specifications
- Engineer’s construction cost estimates
Skills and Attributes
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Comfortable working independently as well as on a team
- Ability to work in an office or virtual environment
- Detail oriented, self-motivated, and committed
- Strong computer skills
- Critical thinking and problem solving
Requirements
- BS in Civil Engineering
- 0–1 year of professional transportation engineering experience
- EIT preferred
- MicroStation, AutoCAD / Civil3D, InRoads, HydroCAD experience a plus
Pay
The full-time annual base salary range for this position, located in Rhode Island, is $81,000 to $83,000. The base salary offered will be determined based on job-related factors, including geographic location, internal equity, experience, credentials, skills, education, work schedule, and other factors permitted by law. The posted salary range reflects base pay only.
Additional compensation and benefits available to eligible employees are outlined in VHB’s Total Rewards Program. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive annual incentive compensation bonuses, spot bonuses, and merit-based salary increases, providing opportunities to increase earnings beyond base pay.
