Entry-Level Tool Technician
About the Role
The Tools technician will be responsible for testing and maintenance of EVA Training Tools/Hardware components for Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL) Training events as well as other tools classes/events. Technician will perform duties per documented processing procedures. Tool technicians will assist Engineering in various activities in reference to tool maintenance/refurbishments. Technicians will interface with other technician, engineering, logistics and bond room personnel on a daily basis to perform job duties.
Responsibilities
- Processing EVA Training Tools to support various training events
- Maintaining and repairing of EVA Training Tools/Hardware as required
- Ability to work from drawings/schematics, equipment specifications, test procedures etc.
- Maintaining certifications to perform job functions
- Ability to work in various job related database, i.e. SARAH, On Base
- Perform NBL Safety Walk Through
- Able to operate motor vehicle for delivery of hardware to various events
- Keeping Lead informed of currents status of hardware to meet event/customer milestones
- Assisting other team mates as required with tool processing
Requirements
- Must be able to perform physical activities
- Must be able to pass a class III Physical
- Experience with Pressure Systems
- Excellent oral communications
- Capacity to work in a team environment
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent, Technical Training
