Entry Level Technician
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking individual with a strong work ethic and positive attitude to join our team as a Level 1 Data Center Technician. This role is ideal for those with experience in physically demanding environments such as construction, trades, military, manufacturing, or general labor. No prior telecom experience is required—this is an excellent opportunity to learn a new trade and build a long-term career in the growing data center industry.
About the role
This is a Contract to Hire position based in Ridgeville, SC. The role is fully onsite and involves hands-on installation projects within a fast-paced data center environment.
Responsibilities
- Pull and route cabling throughout the data center
- Assemble, stack, and drill racks and equipment cabinets
- Scan, label, and port equipment according to project standards
- Assist experienced technicians with installation activities
- Operate safely while working on ladders and scissor lifts
- Use hand tools and installation equipment safely and effectively
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Support additional installation tasks as directed by experienced technicians
Requirements
- Experience working in physically demanding environments such as construction, trades, military, manufacturing, or general labor
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Reliable attendance and proven dependability
- Ability to work on ladders and lifts throughout a 10-hour shift
- Ability to work outdoors during both hot and cold weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Safety-focused mindset
- Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks
- Willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced team environment
Nice to Have
- OSHA 10 certification
- Low-voltage installation experience
- Cable pulling experience
- Telecommunications or structured cabling experience
- Hands-on electrical experience
- Military experience
- Experience operating scissor lifts

Pay
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
Schedule
- Monday-Friday: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- Saturday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Overtime may be required based on project needs
- Candidates must be willing and able to work overtime when needed
