About the role
Campers Inn RV is seeking an Entry Level RV Technician to join our dynamic team. The position offers free basic tools after 12 months of employment and access to an in-house technician training program.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the diagnosis, inspection, adjustments, and repairs for recreational vehicles including travel trailers.
- Raise RVs or equipment using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
- Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
- Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications.
- Absorb and assist in repairing and maintaining plumbing, electrical, and HVAC components.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Valid Driver’s license and good driving record is required.
- No prior experience necessary.
- Ability to learn OSHA and other related state and federal regulations as they pertain to vehicle repairs, safety, and disposal of vehicle parts and fluids.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to communicate across various levels of the organization, and with customers and external vendors.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Use of a variety of hand tools and power tools.
- Safety compliance with OSHA regulations regarding protective clothing and equipment, such as goggles, gloves, etc.
- Safe handling of petroleum products, solvents, and other chemicals.
- Ability to move RVs of various sizes.
- Physical abilities to stand for long periods of time, reach above shoulders, lift a minimum of 50 pounds, and adjust, climb ladders, connect, lift, pull, push, or bend.
