About the Role

As a Structural Engineering Professional, you will start your journey to becoming an integral member of the design team. You will assist in the performance of structural analysis and design for projects, working closely with your Structural Lead, Structural Engineers, Structural Designers, and other disciplines. This role focuses on developing a solid foundation in structural engineering fundamentals, gaining experience in multiple subject areas, and learning how structural design integrates with and impacts other disciplines. Responsibilities

• Competently perform conventional aspects of structural engineering analysis and design under close supervision.
• Develop judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria with guidance and direction.
• Build engineering judgment and problem-solving skills, seeking guidance from others when questions arise.
• Develop knowledge of principles and practices of lateral analysis and design (wind and seismic), including applying required provisions of the building code.
• Exhibit a high level of attention to detail and quality control, checking your own work and consulting peers and seniors for guidance.
• Take responsibility for managing workload, making and keeping commitments, and owning assigned work.
• Take complete ownership of your portion of the structural scope, ensuring it meets schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
• Handle tasks with ill-defined conditions, taking initiative to determine project and client needs.
• Recognize when help is needed and proactively seek guidance from peers and senior engineers.
• Work in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner with strong attention to detail.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• This position is considered project site/hybrid and may require you to work in the local office, at a project site, or from your home (within approximately 50 miles of site).
• Internet service with a minimum speed of 25Mbps download/10Mbps upload to meet project performance requirements.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering or MS degree in Structural Engineering (preferred).
• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification.
• Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
• Experience with Structural Engineering analysis software, Navisworks, and Bluebeam.
• Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $62,500.00 to $90,000.00. Individual pay within this range is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
