Entry Level Structural (Bridge) Engineer
About the role
The successful candidate will be part of a team designing simple and complex bridges (primarily of steel and concrete construction) and a variety of transportation related structures (retaining walls, culverts, sign structures, and other miscellaneous structures) using applicable software.
Responsibilities
- Develop contract plans
- Prepare engineer's estimates and construction specifications
- Perform construction support services
Requirements
- B.S. in Civil Engineering (MS in Structural Engineering preferable)
- 0 - 4 years of experience in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam is preferred
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency using CADD (Microstation preferred)
- A desire to work in a team environment
- Prior experience with NJDOT or NJ Turnpike Authority standards is preferred, but not required

The projected range for this position is $84,000 - $86,500 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
