About the role

As the Software Quality Analyst, you will develop and execute quality testing on our software solutions. Under minimal supervision, you will apply Quality Assurance and Software Testing concepts to assess the condition and quality of software builds, bug fixes, and interim releases.

Responsibilities

  • Lead testing efforts and actively search for software defects.
  • Test and certify software defect fixes and new functionality by executing functional, application, and regression tests for software releases.
  • Analyze test results and make recommendations.
  • Write clear and precise defect reports for identified software and functional defects.
  • Document, communicate, and escalate all risks and issues to the QA Manager in a timely manner.
  • Write quality assurance test scenarios.
  • Work closely with new product design teams to identify and correct deviations from product software specifications.
  • Cross-train other quality analysts on software solutions and quality test processes.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on product functionality and contribute to software documentation such as user guides and manuals.
  • Work quickly and thoroughly in a fast-paced environment to meet agreed-upon timelines and objectives.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to think critically, problem solve, and take initiative.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

Training

Training consists of classroom-style instruction, on-the-job mentoring, and online courses.
