Entry Level Software Engineer
About the role
This position is available for an Entry Level Software Engineer. The role is located in Manassas, VA, US and requires a U.S. Government Secret security clearance which can be obtained within a reasonable amount of time after hire.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate and test of COTS/GOTS cybersecurity software supporting the U.S. Navy's Surface Combat System and Elements.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science/Engineering field.
- Linux experience preferred.
- Experience with Linux and Bash, Java, C/C++, Python, and Virtual Machine technology is preferred.
- Clear understanding of software engineering concepts, principles, theories, software development process, and agile methodology.
- Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity.

Pay
The target salary range for this position is USD $75,946.00/Yr. - USD $84,253.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
Schedule
This position is fully on-site. While on-site, you will be a part of the Progeny Systems team in Manassas at the Innovation site.
