Responsibilities
- Completes assigned training programs, evaluations, and e-learning within designated timeframes
- Performs preventative maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacement
- Greases trucks and trailers
- Performs tire repair, replacement, and related services
- Conducts CSA inspections and emergency road service calls
- Performs basic electrical diagnosis and repairs, including lighting, wiring, and 7-way replacements
- Performs minor trailer maintenance and body repairs
- Conducts basic air system repairs, including airline replacement, fittings, glad hands, and splices
- Performs battery testing and replacement
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of the shop and work areas
- Ensures all tools, equipment, and service vehicles are clean, functional, and properly maintained
- Properly stores parts, tires, and supplies
- Accurately completes work orders, including labor, parts, and customer information
- Ensures total customer satisfaction and upholds the integrity of the company
- Follows all company safety policies and procedures
- Completes OSHA Skills Demonstration and required safety training
- Maintains current LMS training requirements
- Provides friendly, professional, and competent customer service
- Reports to work as scheduled and on time
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- DOT Medical Card required
- Ability to obtain ASE, DOT, and other relevant certifications as required
- Successful completion of internal technician training programs
- Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured to drive company vehicles
- Reliable transportation and phone
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and as needed
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (if applicable)
- Demonstrated commitment to friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service
- Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with team members
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday
- Ability to work in shop and roadside environments under varying conditions
- Physical attendance at the primary work location is required
