Responsibilities

  • Completes assigned training programs, evaluations, and e-learning within designated timeframes
  • Performs preventative maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacement
  • Greases trucks and trailers
  • Performs tire repair, replacement, and related services
  • Conducts CSA inspections and emergency road service calls
  • Performs basic electrical diagnosis and repairs, including lighting, wiring, and 7-way replacements
  • Performs minor trailer maintenance and body repairs
  • Conducts basic air system repairs, including airline replacement, fittings, glad hands, and splices
  • Performs battery testing and replacement
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of the shop and work areas
  • Ensures all tools, equipment, and service vehicles are clean, functional, and properly maintained
  • Properly stores parts, tires, and supplies
  • Accurately completes work orders, including labor, parts, and customer information
  • Ensures total customer satisfaction and upholds the integrity of the company
  • Follows all company safety policies and procedures
  • Completes OSHA Skills Demonstration and required safety training
  • Maintains current LMS training requirements
  • Provides friendly, professional, and competent customer service
  • Reports to work as scheduled and on time
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • DOT Medical Card required
  • Ability to obtain ASE, DOT, and other relevant certifications as required
  • Successful completion of internal technician training programs
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured to drive company vehicles
  • Reliable transportation and phone
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and as needed
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (if applicable)
  • Demonstrated commitment to friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service
  • Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with team members
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday
  • Ability to work in shop and roadside environments under varying conditions
  • Physical attendance at the primary work location is required
