Entry Level Science - Lab Assistant
What You'll Do
- Perform laboratory processes such as extractions, filtrations, clarification, and compounding activities.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including centrifuges, freeze dryers, ball mills, pH meters, and other specialized instruments.
- Follow calibration, verification, and quality procedures to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Maintain laboratory documentation, cleaning logs, maintenance records, and quality paperwork.
- Support inventory and production-related activities through SAP and other internal systems.
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, or another science-related discipline.
- Laboratory experience through coursework, undergraduate research, internships, co-ops, or professional work experience.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Able to accurately follow procedures and maintain documentation.
- Interest in scientific manufacturing, laboratory operations, or pharmaceutical/biotech careers.
- Willingness to learn new equipment, processes, and software systems.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and desire to grow professionally.
- Able to work full-time on a fixed day shift schedule.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Port Washington, NY.
Pay And Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
