Entry Level Sales Manager Trainee

About the role

Manager Trainee is an hourly position averaging $46,000-$49,000/Year with promotional opportunities. As a Contractor Sales Trainee, you will sell products and services offered by 84 Lumber to current and new clientele, build a book of business, and create positive customer relationships to become a Contractor Sales Representative. Other duties may be assigned by the Store Manager.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains a network of sources to identify new sales leads.
• Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
• Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
• Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
• Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
• Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
• Creates and continually grows a book of business and acquires new customers.
• Creates material estimates and reads blueprints.
• Sources special order material.
• Responds to common inquiries or complaints from customers.

• Ability to read prints, create material estimates, and source special orders.
