About the role

Crane Aerospace and Electronics has an exciting opportunity for an RF Engineer I at our Chandler, AZ location.

Essential Functions

  • Work under close supervision to gain hands-on experience researching, planning, designing, and developing products for Defense and Space applications.
  • Aid in new product designs and modernization of existing designs to meet cost, quality, and customer requirements.
  • Support end-to-end systems analysis and contribute to the design of RF and mixed-signal communications hardware.
  • Help with system integration and testing activities to verify product performance.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet customer, manufacturing, and internal standards.
  • Contribute to the development of test procedures and help ensure product designs comply with internal and external requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 0-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Completed courses in Electromagnetics, RF & Microwave circuits, Analog, and Mixed-signal circuit design
  • Knowledge of Signal processing and Communications is desired but not a requirement
  • Knowledge of simulation tools like Microwave office / ADS / HFSS is desired but not a requirement
  • Some hands-on experience handling RF equipment in the lab desired
  • B.S. / M.S. (Preferable) in Electrical Engineering

Education/Certification

  • B.S. / M.S. (Preferable) in Electrical Engineering

Working Conditions

  • Standard office environment
  • Work requires substantial visual concentration on detail
  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
  • Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE
  • May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes
  • Standing: 10%
  • Sitting: 90%
  • Lifting (in pounds): up to 10 pounds
  • Pushing (in pounds): up to 10 pounds
  • Mental/Visual: use of computer, calculator, filing cabinets
  • Workspace (line, cube, etc): cubicle/desk
