About the role
Crane Aerospace and Electronics has an exciting opportunity for an RF Engineer I at our Chandler, AZ location.
Essential Functions
- Work under close supervision to gain hands-on experience researching, planning, designing, and developing products for Defense and Space applications.
- Aid in new product designs and modernization of existing designs to meet cost, quality, and customer requirements.
- Support end-to-end systems analysis and contribute to the design of RF and mixed-signal communications hardware.
- Help with system integration and testing activities to verify product performance.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet customer, manufacturing, and internal standards.
- Contribute to the development of test procedures and help ensure product designs comply with internal and external requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience
- Completed courses in Electromagnetics, RF & Microwave circuits, Analog, and Mixed-signal circuit design
- Knowledge of Signal processing and Communications is desired but not a requirement
- Knowledge of simulation tools like Microwave office / ADS / HFSS is desired but not a requirement
- Some hands-on experience handling RF equipment in the lab desired
- B.S. / M.S. (Preferable) in Electrical Engineering
Education/Certification
- B.S. / M.S. (Preferable) in Electrical Engineering
Working Conditions
- Standard office environment
- Work requires substantial visual concentration on detail
- Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
- Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE
- May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes
- Standing: 10%
- Sitting: 90%
- Lifting (in pounds): up to 10 pounds
- Pushing (in pounds): up to 10 pounds
- Mental/Visual: use of computer, calculator, filing cabinets
- Workspace (line, cube, etc): cubicle/desk
