Entry-Level Product Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with ERP system updates and data cleanup as needed, including supporting accurate product information, BOM structure, and basic user documentation.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for various HVAC components, with special attention to the accuracy of data.
• Support ERP data accuracy by creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs), product descriptions, part records, and related product catalog information for HVAC accessory components.
• Design and develop sheet metal HVAC accessories using AutoCAD, including curbs, economizers, power exhausts, adapters, and related accessory components, while ensuring designs are manufacturable and meet customer requirements.
• Collaborate with production, quality, sales, and purchasing teams to ensure product designs, BOMs, and documentation are accurate, manufacturable, and aligned with customer needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
• 1-3 years of engineering, drafting, product design, or equivalent hands-on experience is preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD for 2D drafting is required; 3D modeling experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Epicor, especially BOM management, part records, product catalogs, or operations entry, is preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to organize product information accurately.
• Able to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively across departments.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of engineering or design experience, strong attention to detail, and an interest in HVAC systems. HVAC accessory or sheet metal design experience is a major plus.

Pay

$30-$35 per hour DOE
