Entry-Level Process/ Chemical Engineer

We're looking for an Entry Level Process/Chemical Engineer in Boise, ID who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will establish process design basis, develop process options and optimizations of selected design, and calculate and organize data for process flow sheets. Responsibilities
- Designing process/facility systems including waste streams, chemical distribution, bulk and specialty gases, ultra-pure water, pollution control, mechanical/process wet and dry piping systems (all systems)
- Assisting in the engineering producing engineering drawings for installation of process equipment and systems according to client standards and consulting associated with the construction of industrial production facilities, semiconductor tool installations, and Process and Mechanical Piping system design related to facility engineering
- Performing field inspections of existing systems, on-site field walks and design verification
- Technical writing, including memos to adequately update team members on new designs, and technologies that embrace safety and process improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, or closely related major
- EIT or ability to obtain within one year of hire
- Local to or willing to relocate to Boise, Idaho as this position is considered project site/hybrid and may require you to work in the local office, at a project site, or from your home (within approximately 50 miles of site)
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office with fluency in design drawings, word processing, excel spreadsheets, etc.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience, internship or projects related to semiconductor manufacturing facility design, supporting tool installation projects
- Understanding of Chemistry as it relates to safety hazards, environmental impacts, and mitigation strategies
- Facilities-related engineering experience (semiconductor fab facilities is highly preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and design drawings

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $60,000.00 to $80,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
This position follows a hybrid working policy, allowing employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations within approximately 50 miles of the site.
