Entry Level Phlebotomist

About the role

Tiffany Springs Area. At BioLife, we offer flexible part-time opportunities for donors. This role involves screening donors, performing phlebotomy, answering phones, greeting donors, and supporting plasma center operations.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet donors
• Screen new and repeat donors
• Take and record donor vital signs and finger stick results
• Use Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation
• Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes
• Work various shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
• Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
• Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance

Qualifications

• Experience working in a customer or patient facing role is helpful

Skills

Customer service and quality assurance are expected. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1).

Pay

$16.00 per hour, subject to state or local minimum wage requirements.

Schedule

Variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
