About the role

The Outside Sales Representative – Geo Stormwater is an entry-level to early-career sales role designed to develop future sales professionals through structured onboarding, hands-on field experience, and formal training.

Responsibilities

  • Support outside sales activity within an assigned territory, including customer visits, project tracking, and opportunity development
  • Learn and apply Geo Stormwater product knowledge across stormwater, geosynthetics, and specialty applications
  • Aid in identifying project opportunities through: ConstructConnect searches, DOT lettings review, Contractor vetting and market research, Project back-up identification (PBI)
  • Participate in territory planning and market presence strategies
  • Use CRM and estimating tools to support sales execution and pipeline management
  • Build foundational relationships with contractors, engineers, and internal partners
  • Progressively assume increased responsibility as training milestones are completed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (business, construction management, engineering, or related field a plus)
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience (sales, construction, engineering, internships, or related exposure)
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
  • Interest in technical sales and relationship-based selling
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability and willingness to work in a field-based sales environment

Pay

Pay Range: $3,206.70 - $5,225.00 Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles. This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible. Ferguson complies with all wage regulations. The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
