About the role

We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Modeling and Simulation Analyst to provide critical support to an Interceptor Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) laboratory. In this role, you will bridge the gap between software development and aerospace analysis, processing complex flight data, running simulations, and developing custom tools to evaluate missile performance. This is an exceptional opportunity to work alongside a collaborative, multi-contractor team on cutting-edge defense technology while independently driving the development of new analytical software.

Responsibilities

  • Process, analyze, and evaluate flight test telemetry and simulation data to assess missile system performance.
  • Develop simulation inputs, execute runs, and analyze outputs within the HWIL lab environment.
  • Design, write, and maintain software applications to process flight test telemetry, simulation data, and Optical Signatures Code (OSC) inputs/outputs.
  • Support the generation of high-priority, quick-turn data products and briefings for senior leadership.
  • Partner effectively within a multi-contractor ecosystem to respond dynamically to short-notice data requests.
  • Travel occasionally (less than 10% to 20%) to support live flight test events as needed.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship.
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline, from an accredited college or university.
  • Proficiency with MATLAB for data analysis.
  • Experience with Object-Oriented Software Development (e.g., Java or C++).
  • Solid understanding of software debugging techniques and algorithmic design.
  • Strong foundational background in advanced mathematics.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to design and deploy new analysis tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance to access classified information. Inability to maintain this required security clearance will result in the candidate being ineligible for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Linux Operating Systems and Shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with Python for scripting or data manipulation.
  • Experience utilizing Git for source code management and version control.
  • Hands-on experience with EO/IR Seeker technology.
  • Background in missile defense systems, modeling & simulation (M&S), and exploratory/statistical data analysis.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Benefits

  • ESOP participation.
  • 401(k) match.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Life insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability.
