Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D & 3D engineering drawings of mechanical components and systems.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand project requirements.
- Use CAD software (Inventor & AutoCAD) to create and modify drawings and models.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings by reviewing and checking dimensions, materials, and other specifications.
- Prepare and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) and project documentation.
- Communicate with production teams to ensure drawings are properly implemented.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations related to mechanical design.
- Work cross-functionally to identify and resolve design challenges.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in mechanical design, drafting, or a related field required.
- A bachelor’s degree is welcomed but not required.
- Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD software, such as AutoCAD & Inventor.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in creating and reviewing mechanical drawings.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications to create detailed drawings.
- Understanding of mechanical design standards, fabrication methods, and specifications.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaboration across disciplines.
- Experience in creating bills of materials (BOMs) and maintaining design documentation.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to continuous improvement.
