Entry Level Materials Sample Preparation Chemist

Role: Laboratory Analyst responsible for preparing, analyzing, and reporting solid samples using Glow Discharge Mass Spectrometry (GDMS). Key Responsibilities Prepare samples including metals, powders, ceramics, and coatings using various tools and acids.Perform analyses and generate detailed reports.Troubleshoot processes and equipment to ensure optimal operation.Maintain compliance with ITAR regulations and company standards for information security. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in materials science, chemistry, or related field.At least 2 years of relevant laboratory experience.Experience with testing instrumentation such as microscopes, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, and gas analyzers.Strong planning, prioritization, and collaborative skills.Proactive in self-development and capable of managing conflicts effectively. Physical & Technical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods and operate lab equipment.Must handle small, fragile devices and lift up to 50 lbs.Visual acuity and willingness to wear PPE are required.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high attention to safety and detail.
