Entry Level Lab Technician

Job Title: Entry Level Lab Technician Position Type: 6-Month Contract (with possible extensions) Location: Onsite in Alameda, CA Shift: Second Shift (1:30 PM 10:00 PM) Position Overview We are seeking an entry-level Lab Technician to join our Complaint Investigations Lab. This role is a great fit for individuals with inspection and quality experience, or recent college graduates with a Bachelor s degree looking to start a career in the medical device or biotech industry. Key Responsibilities Product Handling: Safely unpack boxes and sort returned products accurately according to specific product lines.Complaint Investigation: Investigate returned products to resolve customer complaints regarding blood glucose meters, strips, and sensors.Technical Testing & Troubleshooting: Utilize troubleshooting equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, test fixtures, and microscopes to complete investigations.Documentation & Compliance: Document complaint investigations thoroughly in the Complaint Handling System. Perform routine maintenance on individual quality records and ensure all testing equipment remains within validity.Adherence: Follow written work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) precisely. Qualifications & Requirements Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent (such as GED) with technical experience. Recent college graduates with a Bachelor s degree are an ideal fit for this entry-level position.Computer & Administrative Skills: Proficient computer skills to navigate internet programs, basic Microsoft Office skills, and essential data entry capabilities for logging investigation results. Good documentation skills are a must.Language: Ability to read, write, and comprehend English fluently.Core Competencies: Ability to maintain sharp focus while performing repetitive and routine investigations. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the Medical Device or Biotech Industry with a technical background.Knowledge of Electronic Troubleshooting.Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
