Entry Level Installer

About the role

We are seeking an Entry Level Installer to support the construction of fire alarm, security, access control, voice/data, and other low-voltage systems that DynaFire provides.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints of low-voltage systems and understand their relation to building layouts.
• Install components such as smoke detectors, pull stations, video cameras, and door contacts.
• Drill holes for wiring in wall studs, joists, ceilings, floors, etc.
• Feed cables through access holes, roof spaces, wall cavities, conduit, j-hooks, and bridle rings.
• Adjust sensitivity or set addresses of devices.
• Mount and fasten control panels.
• Test and repair circuits and sensors following wiring and system specifications.
• Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine materials and procedures under supervision.
• Test batteries, keypad and annunciator programming, notification appliances, and security features to ensure proper functioning and diagnose malfunctions.
• Acquire and maintain required tools from the tool list.
• Learn to use fish tape, ohmmeters, power drills, and screwdrivers.
• Meet installation deadlines as directed by the project manager or foreman.
• Track time accurately via ExakTime.
• Comply with company and customer safety programs and policies, as well as DynaFire’s policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by DynaFire.
• Occasional out-of-town travel may be required.

Training and Certification

• Obtain NICET Level I certification within 12 months.
• Participate in required DynaFire-sponsored training.
