Entry-Level In-House Counsel

About the role

Latitude is working with a company that provides a rare in-house opportunity for an attorney with only a few years of experience who is ready to settle into an in-house role with an established company. While much of the training will be on the job, some exposure to and working knowledge of contracts, HIPAA, and data privacy is necessary. Moreover, additional education will be paid for by the company for CCEP (Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional) and/or CHC (Certified Healthcare Compliance); classes offered through HCCA (Healthcare Compliance Academy).

Responsibilities

• Contract management experience
• Drafting and reviewing HIPAA and data privacy contract terms
• Working across cross-functional business teams

Requirements

• 1–3 years of law firm experience at a top-tier law firm or comparable in-house legal department
• Contract to include contract management experience
• Familiarity with drafting and reviewing HIPAA and data privacy contract terms
• Excellent analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Active bar admission in good standing in at least one state
• Excellent academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school
• Outstanding professional references from former supervisors

Pay

The salary range for this role is $85,000 to $90,000 plus bonus. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, and credentials.

Full-time, on-site in Columbia/Spring Hill, TN.
