Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer

About the role

Kleinfelder is seeking an Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer to join our Oklahoma City, Oklahoma office. This position is ideal for someone with 0 to 3 years of experience in geotechnical field investigations, soil and rock classification/boring logs, pavement design, engineering analysis, and report preparation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical field investigations
• Prepare soil and rock classification/boring logs
• Assist with pavement design
• Perform engineering analysis
• Prepare technical reports

Requirements

• Positive work attitude and ability to manage multiple tasks safely
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers, supervisors, clients, subcontractors, and regulators

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (geotechnical emphasis preferred)
• EIT certification (or ability to obtain within 3 to 6 months)
• Ability to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) license within 4 years of hiring
• Some construction material testing and inspection related experience preferred
