About the role

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking an Engineer to perform design, drafting, and transforming basic survey data into CADD-produced drawings using appropriate software. Our water management experts address unique challenges from environmental, health, economic, and regulatory perspectives, applying their expertise in feasibility, design, and master planning while valuing water as a precious natural resource. Our professionals develop creative and effective solutions for water management projects, ensuring communities receive safe, consistent water and wastewater distribution, collection, and treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and execute engineering methods affecting a wide range of engineering activities.
  • Maintain regular contact with professional engineering consultants, governmental agencies, communities, and contractors regarding complex and difficult engineering matters.
  • Provide overall supervision and review of detailed and complex engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and technical papers.
  • Plan, design, and guide the development of water supply, transmission, distribution, wastewater, and municipal infrastructure projects and systems.
  • Develop and review conceptual drawings related to infrastructure design.
  • Create and review construction documents and specifications.
  • Prepare and review calculations, permit applications, monitoring plans, and progress reports.
  • Conduct studies and prepare designs and contract documents for water/wastewater and municipal infrastructure projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
  • EIT Certificate and progress toward a PE license is desired.
  • 0-2 years of experience in civil/environmental and municipal engineering, with a concentration in water/wastewater design.
  • Experience with AutoCAD is desired.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English for job-related communications, instructions, and interactions.
