Responsibilities
- Support investigations into quality issues and assist with root cause analysis activities.
- Participate in problem-solving teams and corrective action efforts.
- Help track and verify corrective actions to ensure issues are effectively resolved.
- Aid in quality improvement projects focused on reducing defects and improving manufacturing processes.
- Support customer quality concerns, product returns, and complaint investigations.
- Participate in new product launch activities, including APQP and PPAP processes.
- Maintain quality documentation, records, and data collection systems.
- Aid in Control Plans, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and other quality tools.
- Support internal and external quality audits, including ISO 9001 and IATF requirements.
- Collect, analyze, and report quality performance data.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Aid in calibration activities and maintenance of quality laboratory equipment.
- Learn and apply Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Interest in quality systems, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to learn quality methodologies such as FMEA, PPAP, APQP, 8D, and Statistical Process Control (training provided).
- Self-motivated with a willingness to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Skills
- Internship, co-op, manufacturing, or hands-on engineering experience is a plus but not required.
- Previous internship or co-op experience in manufacturing, engineering, or quality.
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma concepts.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting.
- Basic knowledge of quality management systems or auditing concepts.
