Entry-Level Electrical Engineer - Hiring Event with AECOM - New York City

About the role

AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in New York, New York on October 15–16. This is a great opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2027. The event kicks off on Wednesday evening with a networking mixer from 6–8 pm, followed by interviews at our New York office on Thursday and Friday.

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer to be based in New York, with an expected start date in Spring/Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Assist in defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Prepare designs and ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
• Develop and modify single line diagrams, schematics, conduit and wire schedules.
• Perform tests and issue reports.
• Develop technical, design and functional specifications for power, equipment and related systems.
• Build technical documentation using client specifications and design standards.
• Conduct research and analysis of client processes, operations and safety standards.
• Review vendor documentation to ensure compliance with client standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit 3D Modeling or other design software.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, writing and organizational skills.

Pay

The offered rate of compensation is $80,000 to $90,000 per year, based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
