Entry level Controls Engineer - Data Center

About the role

This Role(s) will support data center projects in Texas - Candidates must be willing to relocate, with assistance, to a project site for at least one year.

Responsibilities

• Work individually and in teams to support capital projects and implement solutions for our clients.
• Ensure the successful deployment of multiple greenfield data centers; scopes will include BMS and EPMS.
• Receive the applications from the design team and deploy them to each site.
• Handle point-to-point check out of thousands of devices.
• Configure communication protocols for multiple types of equipment including switchgear, breakers, and power meters.
• Configure and calibrate instruments (meters, VFDs, flow meters).
• Deploy and commission Ignition applications, Rockwell controls, and other similar control systems involving PLCs and SCADA.
• Provide on-site guidance and leadership to BW Design Group subcontractors (electricians).
• Develop deep expertise in a major emerging market.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience starting up control systems with significant on-site time.
• Strong communication skills and the desire to work within large teams.
