Entry-level Civil Engineer

LJB Inc. is a fast-growing national engineering firm specializing in civil and structural engineering and geospatial, safety, health, and environmental services. The firm has a 50+ year history of leveraging new technologies to drive innovation and bring unique and sustainable value to our clients. We are seeking candidates to fill the position of Entry-level Civil Engineer for our Municipal team to serve a varied client base in either Cleveland or Dayton, Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Design all aspects of municipal and private engineering projects including sanitary sewers, stormwater design, site plans, and minor roadway projects.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop concept plans, grading plans and site designs in conformance with client requirements and company standards.
• Work closely with project managers to complete a variety of site civil design tasks.
• Cook with survey crews.
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of the client’s standards.
• Desire to innovate and solve difficult problems from inception to final deliverable.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D

Preferred Qualifications

• EIT
• Able to adapt to quickly changing priorities and conditions
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to react quickly and calmly to high-pressure situations
• Ability to work independently and in team settings

Pay

Salary Range: $70,000-87,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.
