Responsibilities
- Perform engineering design tasks with guidance from project engineers and project managers on large, complex civil/environmental remediation projects through applications of relevant design criteria, and standards and processes of both public and private clients.
- Aid with a variety of field assignments including soil sampling, groundwater sampling, and system Operation and Maintenance (O&M).
- Perform field oversight of subcontractors.
- Prepare technical reports and evaluate site data to progress projects toward regulatory closure.
- Establish strong, productive internal collaborative relationships with senior-level staff.
- Participate in Kleinfelder’s safety culture.
- Continuously interact and learn from technical design staff.
Qualifications
- B.S. in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering.
- 1-4 years of relative experience or willingness to learn site/civil design including site grading, stormwater analysis, erosion/sediment control measures and earthworks estimation.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- A strong work ethic with excellent organizational, communication, computer and technical writing skills.
- Solid written and verbal communications skills.
- Willingness to travel out of state.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate.
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER Certificate.
- Ability to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) card within 6 months of start date.
Pay
The expected salary range for the position is $68,000 - $86,000. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
Schedule
This position will require work with our project teams in New Jersey with approximately 50% travel to the Linden, NJ project site with possible travel nationally.
