About the Role

This position follows a 4/10 schedule on 2nd or 3rd shift. The role involves completing all training in a timely manner, working with an experienced analyst/mentor to perform various tasks and analyses of bio/pharmaceutical ingredients and products, reviewing or preparing standards and samples for analysis, and operating equipment or instrumentation independently or with guidance. The goal is to ensure clients receive quality data by reviewing laboratory data for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to GMP and/or GLP regulations.

  • Understands and performs calculations as required by test methods
  • Uses computers for information access, calculations, and report preparation
  • Reads and understands analytical procedures (compendial and client-supplied) and internal SOPs
  • Uses MS Windows applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook email
  • Processes data, generates reports, and evaluates data
  • Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Independently seeks out work
  • Performs laboratory maintenance
  • Commits to occasional overtime as workload requires
  • Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ensures good housekeeping with a neat, clean, and orderly workspace
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Communicates effectively with client staff members

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in microbiology, biology, biochemistry, or related degree concentration and no industry laboratory experience
  • Authorized to work in the US indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
  • Microbiology lab skills: pipetting, microscopes, staining, plating, etc.
  • Med device experience is a plus
  • Good dexterity, positive attitude, solution-driven
  • Good work habits (organized, efficient, careful, safety-conscious, accurate)
  • Attention to detail
  • Sound scientific logic
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Understanding of instrumentation
  • Client service focused
  • Demonstration of organizational skills
  • Ability to work with moderate supervision upon training completion on assigned tasks

Schedule

Full-Time, Second or Third Shift, Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat, 2pm-12am or 12am-10am.

25% travel may be required. This position is NOT remote.
