Our client, a leading chemical and formulation development provider, is seeking an Entry-Level Chemist for a contract position supporting laboratory testing and formulation development activities.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical stability testing, including viscosity and density analysis
- Operate laboratory-scale mixing, milling, and other laboratory equipment
- Support formulation development and laboratory testing activities
- Accurately record experimental data, observations, and test results
- Follow established laboratory procedures and safety protocols
- Analyze test results and apply critical thinking to identify potential issues or trends
- Collaborate with team members while managing multiple laboratory priorities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree-level knowledge of chemistry, chemicals, and fundamental chemical principles
- 0+ years of relevant laboratory or chemistry experience
- Hands-on laboratory experience with physical stability analysis, including viscosity and density testing
- Experience following laboratory safety procedures and accurately documenting data and observations
- Ability to operate laboratory-scale mixing and milling equipment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of formulation development
- Experience with laboratory-scale formulation processes
- Previous experience in chemical, coatings, materials, or related laboratory environments
- Familiarity with additional physical or performance testing methods
- Experience troubleshooting laboratory testing or formulation issues
- Exposure to experimental design and data analysis
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced laboratory environment

Schedule
- 100% onsite in Chesterfield, MO
- Monday–Friday with an 8:00 AM CST start time
Pay
The approximate pay range for this position is between $22.00 and $31.00 per hour. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
