Entry Level Cardiovascular Specialist

Job Duties

• Administers and records tests to obtain diagnostic data on condition of heart
• Aids physician with diagnostic and interventional catheterizations
• Performs diagnostic echocardiography studies

Training

• 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training
• 21 weeks at Fort Sam Houston TX for Phase 1
• 35 weeks at one of several locations for Phase 2

Skills

• Cardiac tests and examinations
• Assisting physicians with cardiovascular tasks

• Ability to communicate effectively and work under stressful conditions
• Interest in chemistry, biology, general science, and algebra
• Attention to detail

Required ASVAB Scores

• General Technical (GT): 107
• Skilled Technical (ST): 101

Compensation

• Total compensation includes: housing, medical, food, special pay, and vacation time
• Earn up to $40,000 in cash bonuses for certain Military Occupational Specialties
• Additional compensation for Housing/Lodging Costs for themselves and immediate family members
