Entry-Level Auto Painter

About the role

We’re looking for Auto Painters with a minimum of 1 year of professional automotive painting experience to join Carvana, the fastest‑growing used automotive retailer in U.S. history and one of the four fastest companies to reach the Fortune 500. Carvana operates high‑tech Inspection Centers where vehicles are inspected, perfected, and photographed before sale. Entry‑level hires receive training programs to help skills and pay progress with the company.

Responsibilities

• Prime vehicles
• Perform final sanding before painting
• Buffing
• Touch‑up
• Paint mixing
• Airbrush work

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of professional automotive painting experience
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently
• At least 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license (some positions may require an MVR check)
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing production environment, sometimes exposed to excessive weather conditions (heat/cold)
• Use of safety equipment such as face shield/goggles, non‑slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Qualifications

In addition to the requirements above, candidates should have hands‑on experience with priming, sanding, buffing, touch‑up, paint mixing, and airbrush techniques, and be comfortable operating state‑of‑the‑art painting tools in a high‑tech environment.
