About the role

As a Paint Technician Trainee, you’ll travel to automotive customers to perform high-quality minor paint touch-ups to full surface repairs using advanced spray equipment and proven techniques. Training is fully paid, including travel, food, and transportation, with training compensation at an hourly rate. After training, compensation transitions to a phased combo of hourly rate and commission as you build your customer base. This position offers uncapped earning potential on a 100% commission-based structure.

Long-term earning potential ranges from $70,000 to $150,000+ based on individual performance.

Responsibilities

• Travel to automotive customers to perform paint touch-ups and full surface repairs
• Prep, blend, and finish vehicle surfaces to perfection using advanced spray equipment
• Work independently at partner locations such as dealerships, rental agencies, and auctions
• Deliver fast, flawless results that exceed customer expectations
• Operate in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks including kneeling, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 45 lbs

Requirements

• Self-motivation, grit, and a strong work ethic
• Strong attention to detail and color accuracy
• Great communication skills and a customer-first mindset
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Manual dexterity for repetitive-motion tasks
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
• Physical ability to kneel, bend, squat, and lift up to 45 lbs
• Ability to wear a respirator in accordance with NIOSH Respiratory Protection Standards

Pay

Starting compensation is expected to be $21.00/hour during training. Post-training earnings are commission-based with uncapped potential, ranging from $70,000 to $150,000+ annually based on performance.
