Entry Level Accountant - Jacksonville, IL

Join a dynamic team at our leading financial services firm. We are seeking an experienced Entry Level Accountant to join our team in Jacksonville, IL.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial reports and statements
• Handle daily accounting tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, and bank deposits
• Support month-end closing process and assist in tax preparation
• Assist in maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with GAAP

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Minimum 1 year of relevant accounting experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• CPA certification preferred but not required
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with QuickBooks and/or other accounting software

• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

Pay

Salary range: $40,000 - $50,000 annually

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
