Job Summary
The Entry Cook role is essential for supporting daily service execution and maintaining high culinary standards at Latitude, a signature dining outlet at Black Desert Resort.
Job Specifications
- Onsite: Black Desert Resort – Latitude
- Shift & Schedule: Year-Round / Full-Time
- Pay Rate: $17.00 – $19.00/hour
Responsibilities
- Prepare food items: According to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Assist with prep: Chopping, slicing, portioning, and basic cooking techniques.
- Set up and break down: Stations before and after service.
- Maintain cleanliness: Workstations, coolers, and storage areas.
- Follow procedures: Food handling, sanitation, and safety.
- Support service: Assisting senior cooks and chefs during peak periods.
- Monitor food quality: Freshness, rotation following FIFO standards.
- Aid in deliveries: Receiving, stocking, and storing food deliveries.
- Communicate: With kitchen team members to ensure smooth service flow.
- Report issues: Equipment, shortages, or safety concerns to leadership.
- Uphold standards: Black Desert Resort’s ultra-premium culinary and service standards.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred but not required.
- Knowledge: Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Skills: Willingness to learn, strong attention to detail, ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Hours: Flexible, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
