Responsibilities

  • Partner with a multidisciplinary care team to support member-centered care and remove barriers to coverage.
  • Guide members through applications for Medicaid, Medicare, Marketplace plans, SNAP, Social Security Disability, and other benefits.
  • Support annual redeterminations and ongoing eligibility maintenance.
  • Aid members in gathering required documentation and coordinating with external agencies.
  • Serve as a regional subject matter expert on insurance and public benefit resources.
  • Collaborate with the Member Financial team to communicate eligibility updates and resolve inactive or lapsed coverage.
  • Provide cross-state support as needed.
  • Connect members to community resources and follow through to ensure needs are met.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EHR and financial systems.
  • Participate in ongoing training and certification requirements.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, Marketplace, and public assistance programs, or the ability to quickly build expertise.
  • Experience supporting benefit applications, insurance navigation, or social services.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and compassionately.
  • Ability to build trust with diverse populations while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • High attention to detail and strong documentation practices.
  • Comfort working independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to member-centered care and harm reduction principles.
  • Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques is a plus.
  • Proficiency with office technology and systems, including Google Workspace, EHRs, and similar tools.

Additional Requirements

  • For remote roles, reliable high-speed internet and telephone service are required, including at least 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload, along with a strong Wi-Fi signal from the remote work location.
  • Must meet all pre-employment and state-specific compliance requirements, which may include background screening, fingerprinting, drug testing, health screening, CPR or Basic First Aid, and license or credential verification, depending on role and location.

Pay

Hourly pay range: $19 - $25

Schedule

This role follows one of two full-time schedule options: 5 x 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, or 4 x 10-hour shifts, Tuesday through Friday. Shifts are scheduled to cover core business hours between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Eastern, depending on team and business needs.
