Entertainment & Theming Technician

What You Get To Do

• Work in entertainment venues
• Drive and maintain parade floats
• Transform the park’s theming during special events
• Support park-wide holiday and special events with set-up, upkeep, and strike
• Complete individual and group projects during non-operational park time for installation of sets, shows, and décor
• Maintain parade floats, props, and systems
• Drive in seasonal parades
• Setup, rehearse, and run shows in conjunction with the entertainment department
• Aid in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing technical equipment within the park
• Assist with the Entertainment team to assist guests

What It Takes To Succeed

• At least 18 years old or high school graduate
• Driver’s License required
• Interest in technical theatre, themed/live entertainment, and/or theme park operation
• The ability to provide excellent customer service to meet the needs of our guests
• Multi-tasking and time management skills for individual and group projects
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to complete different tasks daily

What Else Is Important

• Physically able to complete tasks on various levels and must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time
• Perform upkeep of spaces
• Willingness to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather conditions (extreme heat to cold temperatures)
• Flexible availability (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
• Consistent practice of safe work habits including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and reporting unsafe situations
