Enterprise Valuation Analyst I
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare enterprise valuation reports for lower-complexity borrowers using established templates and under guidance, documenting methodology, key assumptions, sensitivities, and valuation conclusions to support leveraged lending underwriting and portfolio monitoring.
- Maintain internal database of transaction comps and perform data collection and special projects as needed.
- Calculate enterprise value using discounted cash flow (DCF) model while analyzing and assessing likelihood of projected cash flows.
- Run standard sensitivity analyses (WACC, terminal growth, leverage, margins) and scenario cases (management/base/downside) and summarize the impacts on valuation ranges for review by senior team members.
- Use S&P Capital IQ to identify, screen, and compile guideline public companies and precedent transactions; calculate key multiples and support comp selection with senior analyst oversight.
- Effectively communicate with deal teams to manage transaction deadlines, obtain relevant comps, and review projection assumptions.
- Conduct industry research with S&P Capital IQ, IBIS World, Kroll, DealStats, and other reputable publicly available resources.
- Adhere to Enterprise Valuation policy and contribute to ongoing enhancements of templates, databases, and best practices.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in credit analysis, valuation, corporate finance, investment banking, or similar analytical role (internship experience may be considered if highly relevant).
- Demonstrated attention to detail, sound judgment, and a consistent work ethic.
- Self-starter with ability to operate with appropriate guidance, escalating questions and issues as needed.
- Ability to learn quickly, ask questions, and apply feedback to improve work product.
- Analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret financial data and present conclusions effectively.
- Effective written communication skills; ability to create clear, well-structured valuation deliverables.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working within financial models (advanced modeling proficiency a plus).
- Foundational understanding of valuation concepts such as market comps, enterprise value, EBITDA, free cash flow, present value, and WACC.
Supervisory Responsibilities
None.
Working Conditions
Normal office environment. Extended time at desk / viewing computer screen. Travel is not required.

The base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
