Enterprise Senior Project Manager
About the Role
The Senior Project Manager - Enterprise leads high-impact, enterprise-wide initiatives that support strategic business goals. This role manages multiple complex projects simultaneously—spanning technology, operations, and business transformation—ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The Senior Project Manager partners with executive leaders, functional teams, and external vendors to drive alignment, manage risk, and achieve measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale, cross-functional enterprise projects and programs with significant business impact.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, success metrics, timelines, and budgets aligned with enterprise strategy.
- Lead meetings with business, technical, and cross-functional representatives regarding project activities, timeline, and issues.
- Articulate project status, key issues, and dependencies to all levels of management, including Agile project updates as needed.
- Accountable for program/project success with sponsors; secure commitments from cross-functional groups and external providers for resources, cost, schedule, and performance.
- Act as the primary liaison between executive sponsors, business units, and delivery teams—communicating progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Cultivate strong working relationships with project core teams, end users, consultants, and vendors to identify risks and opportunities.
- Proactively identify, manage, and track risks, issues, and interdependencies to ensure smooth delivery.
- Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program or project risks; produce reports for sponsors, stakeholders, and project teams.
- Develop executive-level reports and dashboards to track key milestones, KPIs, and performance against goals.
- Regularly update business stakeholders on project or program status.
- Produce project management deliverables such as objectives, risk assessments, communication plans, status reports, issue logs, and change logs; escalate risks to sponsors per PMO guidelines.
- Champion organizational change initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption of new systems, processes, or technologies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations, reporting requirements, change control standards, and organizational policies.
- Mentor Project Managers and coordinate efforts within the Project Management Office to promote consistency and best practices.
- Build, lead, and coach multiple project teams throughout project lifecycles.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and alignment with enterprise objectives.
- Evaluate project outcomes and identify opportunities to refine methodologies, processes, and tools for future initiatives.
- Contribute to NYBCe PMO standards, guidelines, and knowledge base.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Computer Science, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience with multiple Project Management Methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Agile, Waterfall, PMBOK, Lean).
- 3+ years of experience in leadership/management roles.
- 3+ years of experience in software development life cycle (SDLC).
- 3+ years of experience as an Agile Team Lead, Scrum Master, or Product Owner, leading activities such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (required).
- Expert-level proficiency with project management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Smartsheet, MS Project, SharePoint, Jira, OneNote, Visio, Office 365).
- Knowledge of project management, change management principles, and healthcare industry practices.
- Knowledge of software requirements, test specifications, and computer systems validation.

Pay
For applicants who will perform this position in Westchester County, the proposed annual salary is $150,000.00 to $160,000.00 per year. For applicants outside of New York City or Westchester County, salary will reflect local market rates and be commensurate with skills, job-related knowledge, and experience.
