Enterprise Salesforce - Technical Architect
About the Role
You are the Salesforce Technical Architect responsible for setting the overall direction of the technical solution of a Salesforce implementation. You have a breadth of technical knowledge and experience with an in-depth knowledge of the Salesforce platform. As the Technical Architect you focus on designing and ensuring delivery of complex Salesforce projects from discovery to deployment. You are a self-driven individual with a "get it done" attitude and have a passion to solve complex business and technology problems.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to define requirements, deliverables, and set and manage expectations
- Shape solutions that deliver business outcomes and provide designs for engineers on the project on how to deliver programmatic elements of the implementation
- Translate business requirements into well architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform and features
- Lead usage of AI-driven accelerated engineering framework during project implementations
- Lead technical design sessions; architect and document technical solutions aligned with client business objectives; identify gaps between client's current and desired end states
- Provide oversight and governance of Salesforce projects
- Follow and define coding standards. Lead code reviews during projects to ensure quality and appropriate design patterns are followed
- Manage the technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration elements of a Salesforce implementation
- Manage client expectations and collaborate on viable solutions to complex problems
- Provide expertise during sales efforts to determine design, feasibility and estimations
- Coach and mentor junior technical and functional team members

Qualifications
- 8+ years CRM experience, the majority specifically with Salesforce
- Expertise in one or multiple Salesforce Clouds including Sales, Service, Experience, Marketing, Data, Financial, etc.
- Understand core technical principles of Salesforce for integration, networking, infrastructure, security, data modeling and DevOps
- Knowledge of and experience using AI-enabled engineering approaches for enhancing Salesforce platform design and implementation
- Strong knowledge and experience of Salesforce development and configuration
- Understanding of systems architecture and ability to design scalable performance-driven solutions
- Understanding of key design patterns, data modeling, and large data volume limitations and best practices
- Understanding of data sharing and visibility considerations and how these play into platform architecture
- Familiarity with platform authentication patterns (SAML, SSO, OAuth)
- Knowledge of data integration tools and experience integrating Salesforce with different business systems (ETL, ESB, CPQ, marketing automation, reporting, etc.)
- Strong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies
- Experience with platform security capabilities (Named Credentials, TLS, SSL)
- Expert level experience defining the system architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive solution that will enable achievement of the desired business outcomes
- Advanced knowledge of Apex, Trigger and Lightning Flow Design Patterns and development experience
- Extensive LWC, JavaScript, Web components, HTML design and development experience
- Exposure and experience in Einstein and AI product capabilities
- Strong background in design/development of large web-based or client server systems, or complete software product lifecycle exposure
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design and database design
- Up-to-date knowledge and training on latest Salesforce release, features and developments
- Active Salesforce certifications or ability to achieve relevant certifications upon hire
Pay
Targeted base pay salary ranges by location:
East Bay, San Francisco, Silicon Valley: Principal: $190,000–$232,000; Senior Principal: $222,000-$271,000
San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange County, Seattle, Boston, Houston, New Jersey, New York City, Washington DC, Westchester: Principal: $174,000–$213,000; Senior Principal: $204,000-$249,000
All other locations: Principal: $160,000–$195,000; Senior Principal: $187,000-$228,000
In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
