Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale, enterprise-level finance and business transformation projects from initiation through completion, ensuring deliverables remain on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, overseeing schedules, milestones, dependencies, budgets, resources, risks, and stakeholder communication
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, status reports, metrics, and governance documentation
- Partner with finance teams, business sponsors, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify needs, develop solutions, and execute project objectives
- Lead multi-disciplinary project teams while managing scope, change, resource allocation, risks, issues, and project lifecycle activities
- Facilitate project meetings and leadership updates, proactively identifying barriers and recommending solutions to maintain project momentum
- Analyze project performance metrics and proactively address risks, resource constraints, and milestone or deliverable delays
- Navigate ambiguity within a fast-moving PMO environment, independently assessing project needs and driving execution
- Prepare and present project updates, recommendations, risks, and mitigation strategies to all levels of leadership
- Ensure adherence to enterprise project management methodologies, standards, and best practices while supporting continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive project and/or program management experience leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives
- Experience leading finance-focused projects within actuarial, underwriting, accounts payable/accounts receivable, risk adjustment, financial operations, or enterprise finance systems
- Strong preference for healthcare payer, health insurance, managed care, or healthcare finance experience
- Enterprise finance project management experience outside of healthcare may also be considered
- Experience supporting financial system implementations, migrations, transformations, or platform initiatives highly preferred
- PeopleSoft or similar enterprise financial platform experience is highly valued
- Demonstrated success managing enterprise projects with budgets of $1M+ and cross-functional teams of 10+ individuals
- Strong experience managing complex schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, resources, and issue resolution
- Prominent ability to partner with business sponsors, finance stakeholders, and leadership to identify needs and implement solutions
- Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, establish direction, and independently drive projects forward within a fast-paced PMO environment
- Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and organizational skills with experience presenting to leadership and executive stakeholders
- Familiarity with PMI methodologies, PMBOK principles, project management tools, reporting systems, and governance processes
- PMP certification or formal project management certification strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
