Enterprise Project Manager II
About the role
The Enterprise Project Manager II leads the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives that align with the bank’s strategic objectives. Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Planning, this role provides governance, structure, and leadership across enterprise-level projects, ensuring consistent application of project management methodologies and successful outcomes. The position serves as a key liaison between business units, technology teams, risk and compliance partners, and executive stakeholders, and assists with M&A-related integrations, including preparation, organization, and facilitation of enterprise-wide integration efforts.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end management of large-scale, enterprise-wide projects, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
- Allocate project management tools and resources across initiatives to ensure optimal utilization and alignment with strategic priorities.
- Establish clear expectations, roles, and accountability for project teams.
- Partner with the Director of Enterprise Planning to align project portfolios with strategic objectives and organizational priorities.
- Ensure consistent application of project management methodologies, standards, tools, and governance across all managed projects.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across business units, IT, operations, risk, compliance, and external vendors.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate critical concerns to leadership as appropriate.
- Provide regular, transparent communication and reporting to stakeholders, including executive leadership, on project health, milestones, and outcomes.
- Manage scope changes through formal change control processes while maintaining alignment with business objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement by refining project management processes, tools, and governance frameworks.
- Ensure all initiatives comply with banking regulations, internal policies, audit requirements, and risk management standards.
- Assist the Director of Enterprise Planning with EPMO reporting and process needs.
- Perform other responsibilities, duties, and tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Expertise in project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid approaches).
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
- Strong understanding of banking operations, risk management, compliance, and regulatory expectations.
- Financial acumen, including budgeting, cost tracking, and resource planning.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent work experience); MBA preferred.
- 4-7+ years of progressive project management experience, preferably within financial services or banking.
- Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, CAPM, or similar) preferred.
- Proven track record managing large, complex, cross-functional initiatives in a regulated environment.
- Proficiency with business and project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Smartsheet or equivalent).
Pay
Base pay range: $90,000 - $127,055 per year. The role may be eligible for bonus or incentives based on company and individual performance.
