This position is based on our campus in Madison, WI and requires relocation to the area. We recruit nationally and provide financial relocation assistance.

About the role

We are seeking a network engineer to install, configure, and support our internal telecom system and campus network. As part of a small team, you'll have the opportunity to evaluate technology and influence changes in Epic's internal infrastructure. Our global network environment is comprised of a variety of mainstream Cisco and other vendors. You'll investigate and implement modern telecom systems, switching and routing platforms, configure firewall rules, and design and troubleshoot ISP and WAN connectivity. With an increased focus on infrastructure as code for deployments, you'll also leverage technologies like Terraform and Ansible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A history of academic and professional success
  • Exposure or experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager; hands-on experience managing Teams Calling a plus
  • Proficiency with Cisco enterprise hardware preferred; up-to-date CCNA or CCNP certification helpful
  • Relocation to Madison, WI area (reimbursed)
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
  • COVID-19 vaccination
