Location: Hershey, PA | Full Time | Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

About the Role

Responsible for working with business and technical stakeholders in the design, delivery, and integration of solutions that depend on network infrastructure. This is an expert-level resource providing the highest level of escalation and oversight in delivering relevant technical value, with strong integration, technical, project, and communications skills.

Responsibilities

  • High-level network planning, design, and optimization.
  • Develop strategies and direction for network systems solutions using current and emerging technologies (including wireless, data center, cloud architectures, application delivery, unified communications/VoIP, network management and monitoring systems, routing and switching, network access control systems, and security architectures).
  • Plan and recommend network hardware, systems management software, and architecture.
  • Evaluate and recommend new products; maintain knowledge of emerging technologies for application to the enterprise.
  • Monitor and report network performance, ensure capacity planning is performed, and proactively assess and recommend improvements.
  • Supervise multiple projects from inception to completion, organizing project teams, vendors, consultants, and contractors.
  • Interact with upper levels of management, submitting status reports, budget information, upgrade recommendations, and problem alerts.
  • Create and maintain a high-performance environment characterized by positive leadership and a strong team orientation.
  • Serve as a technology escalation point for implementation, operations issues, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to other network operations staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus six years of related experience or ten years of related experience.

Skills

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong relationship management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience functioning in an architectural role with progressively higher levels of responsibility and complexity in designing and implementing technical solutions aligned with this position’s requirements.
