About the Role
The Enterprise Excellence (EEx) Operator supports Enterprise Excellence activities by collecting shop floor data, conducting time studies, and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives. This position works closely with Enterprise Excellence, Engineering, Operations, and Value Stream teams to support production master data maintenance, annual cost roll activities, visual management systems, and Lean initiatives that improve operational efficiency and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Perform shop floor observations and collect production data to support production master data maintenance and annual cost roll activities.
- Conduct time studies and collect labor and cycle time data to support Standard Work Charts (SWCs), headcount models, and capacity planning.
- Collect data related to Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, work centers, raw material usage, labor standards, and production processes.
- Support Enterprise Excellence initiatives by collecting data for Lean, productivity, cost reduction, and continuous improvement projects.
- Assist with basic shop floor studies and data collection for process evaluations and improvement activities.
- Support implementation and maintenance of Daily Management System (DMS) boards, floor management systems, floor markings, visual management, and 5S activities.
- Support Kaizen events, Site Operating System (SOS) initiatives, and other Enterprise Excellence activities.
- Support production operations as needed to meet business requirements.
- Follow Standard Production Methods (SPM), company policies, quality requirements, and safety procedures, and communicate observed process abnormalities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment required; medical device or other regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience working in a production, continuous improvement, Enterprise Excellence, Industrial Engineering, or manufacturing support environment preferred.
Skills
- Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts, including 5S, visual management, and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
- Ability to perform shop floor observations and collect production data with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow standardized work instructions and established procedures.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while performing shop floor observations.
Pay
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $22.45-31.44 per hour. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
