Enterprise Data Architect
Job Summary
As an Enterprise Data Architect, you are responsible for defining how data should be structured, integrated, and delivered across the organization to support current and future business needs. You are a strategic and visionary thinker who excels at translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing data architectures. You are energized by designing frameworks, setting standards, and building roadmaps that enable analytics, reporting, and data-driven transformation. You enjoy working closely with both business and IT leaders to shape the technical vision that turns data into a strategic asset.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the enterprise data architecture vision, principles, and roadmap aligned to business strategy.
- Translate business requirements into data architecture designs for data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time analytics platforms.
- Design and govern data models, naming standards, normalization practices, and metadata management.
- Arcitect integration between key enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, CRM, demand planning, logistics, PLM).
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Data Manager to ensure architectural standards are implemented and sustained.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and patterns to evolve the organization’s data capabilities over time.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Deep expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, data lakes, and analytics architectures.
- Strong experience with cloud-based data platforms and modern data integration patterns.
- Proficiency with industry-standard modeling, metadata, and source-to-target mapping tools.
- Solid understanding of BI, analytics, and information delivery platforms.
- Ability to communicate complex architectural concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Education
- MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree Required
- Experience: 5 years 5 years of experience in enterprise data management, data governance, or a closely related role, with 7-10 years of overall IT experience.
