About the Role

An Enterprise Architect (EA) focuses on the big picture, creating technology strategies that enhance connectivity and human experiences across the entire organization. As the technical lead for the customer, the EA transcends the Account Executive and serves as the primary technical contact. The position assesses customer needs and tailors customized, moderate-to-complex solutions to fit business objectives. The EA is well-versed in all market offerings within their area of expertise and collaborates closely with the account team to ensure accuracy of solution design throughout the sales lifecycle. This role also explains, positions, and justifies costs related to C1’s solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develops and advises on enterprise architecture models
• Aligns technology initiatives with business objectives and human experiences
• Advises on technology trends and innovations
• Validates solution discovery requirements and aligns them to customer outcomes
• Presents C1’s entire portfolio and the “Human Experience” story
• Collaborates closely with key customers, maintaining technical relationships
• Partners with Account Executives to ensure a unified approach to customer needs
• Leads technical teams (Design Engineers, Solution Architects, Chief Advisors, Delivery Engineers, Project Managers, and Managed Services engineers)
• Oversees the entire sales cycle, from discovery through project execution and adoption
• Acts as the main orchestrator behind major deals, integrating all elements from requirements to implementation
• Interacts directly with key customers, virtually and in-person, to build relationships and lead projects (pre-sales, post-sales, and managed services)
• Maintains ongoing engagement with managed services customers to meet evolving needs
• Stays connected to assigned customers, including between projects
• Works effectively in a virtual office environment

Requirements

• Extensive experience in enterprise-level projects
• Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills
• Ability to relate to customers’ needs with understanding and insight
• Proven ability to build long-lasting, trustworthy relationships as a trusted advisor
• Comprehensive technical abilities across various domains and service models (pre-sales, delivery, and managed services)
• Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, cloud computing, collaboration, and infrastructure design
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction, providing accurate solution architecture
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for all levels, including executives
• Ability to bridge the gap between business users and information technology
• Competency in negotiating with vendors, team members, and stakeholders
• Adaptability to new challenges and technologies, staying updated with industry trends
• Strong prioritization skills to meet deadlines without compromising quality
• Ability to identify and assess technical risks and create mitigation strategies
• Experience mentoring, guiding, and managing technical teams for efficient project execution
• Certifications or equivalent experience in area of focus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint)

Pay

Base pay range: $125,000 – $200,000. Actual base pay will be based on education, experience, location, certifications, skill set, and other relevant factors. Incentive/variable pay opportunities are in addition to base pay.
