Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in the recruitment of new students and familiarity with the community college environment
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a college vehicle
- Skills in current recruiting technology and social media, including Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, Twitter, etc.
- Proficient in both Mac and PC computer formats preferred
- Able to carry quantities of recruiting materials and travel on a daily basis to include nights and weekends
- Energetic, outgoing, and excellent communication skills
Responsibilities
- Promote the college by making individual and group presentations to high schools, local businesses, and industries and community groups
- Operate the Recruiting Office by supervising student recruiters, conducting campus tours, meeting with prospective students and parents, and assisting with the scholarship program
- Utilize a CRM to guide prospective students through the enrollment management process
- Develop and implement the comprehensive recruiting plan and strategic enrollment management plan
- Operate the Office of Admissions and Records by processing student documents for admission, answering admission and enrollment questions, communicating applicant’s status, and ensuring records are maintained and compliant with state and federal guidelines
- Provide information about financial aid, assist with the completion of FAFSA, and work with the Financial Aid Office and Get2College to present workshops
- Assist with orientation and registration of new students and commencement ceremonies
- Prepare reports and presentations as needed
- Research and embrace new technologies in student recruiting methods and stay updated with social media communication
- Work with The University of Mississippi to promote the 2 + 2 and Path4 programs
- Perform other related duties as requested by the Director of Recruiting, Registrar, and Dean of the DeSoto Center
