Enrollment Advisor, Founders School - $150,000/year USD
About the Role
Alpha is reimagining the future of schooling with AI-powered learning, enabling students to finish core academics in two hours daily and spend the rest of their time developing essential skills like entrepreneurship, critical thinking, communication, and hands-on execution. Families choose Alpha not because of advertising, but because they encounter something unavailable elsewhere. This position is designed to deliver that encounter by cultivating and expanding the community that attracts outstanding families to Alpha, empowering them to choose us confidently over alternatives.
You’ll lead the relational dimension of admissions—from initial events through final enrollment—designing impactful experiences that establish trust. This role is ideal for someone with proven community-building experience who thrives in social settings and understands that relationships drive important decisions. You’ll partner closely with the Director of Admissions, Heads of School, and Admissions Associate while contributing to the playbook for Alpha’s expansion.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-impact community experiences, including information sessions, parent dinners, campus tours, school fairs, accepted-family gatherings, and partner events.
- Cultivate substantive relationships with prospective families, guiding them from first contact through application with consistent, personalized communication.
- Take ownership of enrollment yield for the high school by designing experiences and follow-up approaches that convert accepted families into enrolled families.
- Develop and energize a dynamic community of current parents, prospective families, and ambassadors to amplify Alpha’s credibility and referral ecosystem.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and collaborate closely with the Admissions Associate and school leadership to ensure a frictionless experience for every family.
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Employing aggressive sales methods or persuading families who aren’t the right match.
- Handling application processing, interview coordination, or admissions decision-making.
- Developing marketing strategy or brand positioning independently.
- Supervising a team (focus is on direct relationship-building and event facilitation).
- Operating remotely—community building requires in-person presence.
Requirements
- Documented experience building and expanding an in-person community from inception.
- Verified track record planning and executing events from concept through post-event follow-up.
- Experience influencing discerning, high-consideration decision-makers through relationship cultivation (not transactional selling).
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect genuinely with families.
- Strong organizational skills, disciplined CRM management, and reliable follow-through.
- Self-motivated, inventive, and comfortable establishing processes in unstructured environments.
- Enthusiasm for Alpha’s mission and belief that AI is reshaping education’s future.
- Located in New York City or prepared to relocate.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Nice-to-Have Requirements
- Background in private school admissions, alumni relations, nonprofit fundraising, hospitality, or experiential event management.
- Existing network within the New York City education or parent communities.
- Active social media or content presence that has driven tangible community development.
